Profile
The Institute for Water and Health (IWH) at Georgia Southern University focuses on bridging science and technology to ensure safe water, environmental sustainability, and resilient communities. Located at the Savannah Research Complex, the IWH conducts multidisciplinary research on water and wastewater treatment, contaminant detection, ecosystem health, and global WASH solutions. They offer state-of-the-art laboratory testing, develop educational resources, and provide professional development to train future water professionals. The IWH also engages in community outreach, collaborating with various stakeholders to address water-related challenges in coastal Georgia, the Eastern US, and globally, with a strong emphasis on public impact and sustainable solutions.
