Overview

Profile

The RiteCare® Center for Communication Disorders at Georgia Southern University is an on-campus clinic offering evaluation and treatment services for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. It provides hands-on clinical training forgraduate students under the supervision of certified speech-language pathologists and audiologists. A key research initiative at the center is the SPEAK OUT!® program, which focuses on improving speech in individuals with Parkinson's disease. Graduate students and faculty collaborate on this research, advancing evidence-based practices while serving the community. As a teaching communication disorders center, our mission is two-fold: to enhance the lives of children and adults with communication impairments through excellence in client care, research and education, and to provide knowledge, training and relevant practical experiences for developing clinical-fellowship-ready speech-language pathologists.
