Overview
Profile
The Sustainable Aquaponics Research Center (SARC), a collaboration between Georgia Southern University and the FORAM Foundation, conducts research to enhance the sustainability and profitability of soilless farming techniques, particularly aquaponics. Located in a 4,100 square foot greenhouse on the Armstrong Campus, SARC facilitates student and faculty research across biology, chemistry, economics, and engineering. The center also engages the community through hands-on field trips, a marketplace for produce, and partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
