Prof. Graf joined Georgia Southern University in 2009 and retired in 2024.

Mrs. Graf earned her BSN in Nursing (1997) from Georgia Southern University and her MSN in Nursing (2008) from Walden university. Mrs. Graf began her career in nursing locally but began working as a critical care nurse in the fourth largest city in the nation, earning several hospital specific awards. She moved back to Georgia in 2009 specifically to begin a career in nursing education at Georgia Southern University. During her sixteen years with the School of Nursing, Mrs. Graf has educated every cohort level of nursing students in content areas such as critical care, medical surgical nursing, fundamentals of nursing, essential skills, community health nursing, and nursing simulation utilizing high-fidelity nursing simulators. She has served on numerous committees at both the departmental and university levels and has performed multiple interdisciplinary collaborations within the university, including bringing nationally known marketing expert Frank Lane, responsible for the national campaigns of brands such as Shout® Laundry Stain remover and Bullfrog® suntan lotion, to Georgia Southern as a guest lecturer. Other interdisciplinary collaborations include educating dietetic students on proper nasogastric tube placement and feedings. Her career at Georgia Southern has, from the beginning, been focused on educating the next generation health professionals and beyond, earning Mrs. Graf the title of Instructor Emerita of Nursing.
