Arda Yenipazarli is Professor of Operations Management at the College of Business Administration, Georgia Southern University. He obtained a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Warrington College of Business at University of Florida and joined Georgia Southern University in August 2012.
 
Yenipazarli’s research interests include green supply chain management, sustainable technologies, production planning and inventory control, and applications of game theory for sustainable production and distribution systems. His research investigates the profitability and efficiency of green operations launched in order to comply with environmental legislations and/or translate corporate sustainability liabilities into profits. His research also has implications for policy makers concerned with designing efficient environmental legislations. Yenipazarli has recently published papers in Decision Sciences, Production and Operations ManagementEuropean Journal of Operational ResearchInternational Journal of Production EconomicsInternational Journal of Production ResearchOperations Research Letters, Annals of Operations Research, and Omega. He earned the 2016 Gary M. Davis Excellence in Research Award for his research activities at Georgia Southern University, and is the recipient of the 2017 ENRE (INFORMS Subdivision on Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment) Young Researcher Prize.
 
Yenipazarli teaches the core Operations Management and Business Statistics courses at Georgia Southern University, in addition to the MBA Operations course on Statesboro campus. Prior to teaching at Georgia Southern University, he taught Operations Management and Business Systems courses at University of Florida. Yenipazarli’s teaching interests include operations management, production and service operations economics, new product development and innovation, sustainable operations, and international operations and logistics.
 
Yenipazarli serves as an ad-hoc referee for Decision Sciences JournalIIE TransactionsEuropean Journal of Operational ResearchTransportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, Naval Research LogisticsInternational Journal of Production EconomicsOmega, The International Journal of Management ScienceInternational Journal of Production Research, and Journal of Cleaner Production. He is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), The Section on Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment (ENRE), Manufacturing & Service Operations Management Society (MSOM), and Production and Operations Management Society (POMS). He served as the treasurer of Junior Faculty Interest Group (JFIG) of INFORMS between 2014 and 2016, and in the INFORMS Student Affairs Committee between 2015 and 2016.
