Dr. Candice Pippin Bodkin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public and Nonprofit Studies and the Co-Director of the Institute for Vibrant and Engaged Communiites. She received her Ph.D. in Public Administration from North Carolina State University in August 2016. Professor Bodkin also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from North Carolina State University, and a Master of Education degree in Secondary Social Studies Education and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Anthropology from the University of Florida. Her research focuses on the management of local governments, human resource management, and social equity, and their intersections. She teaches graduate courses in the foundations of public administration, local government management, social equity, diversity, and inclusion in public organizations, and human resource management.
