About

Ogloblin, an associate professor of economics, joined Georgia Southern in 2000. He has additional teaching experience at Kent State University, John Carroll University, and Volgograd State University. The courses he has taught include Business economics, applied econometrics (MSAE), international economics (MSAE), managerial economics (EMBA), managerial economics for healthcare professionals (EMBA), and international business perspectives for healthcare professionals (EMBA). Ogloblin has seven years of experience in developing and teaching online courses, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He also has much experience in authoring course materials in Principles of economics, intermediate microeconomics, and international economics, which are published both in print and online and used by universities nationwide. Ogloblin’s research interests are in applying econometric methods, such as stochastic frontier analysis and panel data methods, to examine relevant economic and social issues. His publications include articles in academic journals such as Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Comparative Economic Studies, Applied Econometrics and International Development, andEconomic Systems. Ogloblin has been a recipient of the T.J. Morris, Jr. Faculty Award for Excellence in Research in the College of Business and the Dean’s Citation for contribution to making the department’s Master of Science in Applied Economics program a success.
