Elise J. Cain, Ph.D. (she/her/hers) is an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Georgia Southern University. She is also the Program Director of the Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership. Dr. Cain’s research focuses on college students from rural areas, place-based identities, and historically underrepresented populations in STEM fields. Before becoming a faculty member, Dr. Cain was a student affairs professional in functional areas like residence life, leadership programs, campus activities, and orientation.
