Prof. Moss joined Georgia Southern University in 2000 and retired in 2024.


— Biography from the 2024 Spring Commencement program —

Ms. Moss earned her BA (1983) from the University of Florida and her MBA (1985) from Georgia State University. She joined Georgia Southern University in 2000 and has taught courses in business analytics, information systems, and management. Prior to joining Georgia Southern, Ms. Moss served as a faculty member at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi and held multiple human resource positions in the private sector. She has published 16 journal articles and 11 conference proceedings and led numerous conference presentations. Recently, she served on multiple panels focusing on education at the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) conference by invitation. INFORMS is the largest professional society in the world for professionals in operations, management science, and business analytics. Ms. Moss is active in the INFORMS Analytics Program conference serving as a session chair and leading discussions. She was instrumental in Georgia Southern being awarded an INFORMS Student Chapter, and under her guidance as faculty advisor, the student chapter won an INFORMS award of excellence. Ms. Moss has been awarded the Parker College Lecturer award three times and has served on numerous Georgia Southern University committees. In recognition of her contributions to Georgia Southern, her students, and her profession, Ms. Moss is deserving of the title Principal Lecturer Emerita of Enterprise Systems and Analytics.*
