I hold a PhD in Forest and Natural Resources Management from the State University of New York - College of Environmental Science and Forestry. I currently serve as Professor and Program Coordinator for the Recreation & Tourism Management Program, housed within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. My research expertise includes visitor perception and behavior in outdoor recreation settings, societal values and attitudes regarding wilderness and other natural landscapes, and the effectiveness of environmental education and interpretation. I have also collaborated with researchers in public health, exercise science, and youth development.
