Prof. Crosby joined Georgia Southern University in 2017 and retired in 2024.

Dr. Crosby earned a BS in Pharmacy (1991), graduating magna cum laude, and a PhD Pharmacy/Health Care Administration (1995), both from the University of Georgia. He began his amazing career at Armstrong State University in 1995 and, for nearly three decades, served as the director of the Master of Health Administration (MHA) and undergraduate Health Services Administration programs. His effectiveness as a teacher and mentor is evidenced by the large number of students he empowered to move on to prestigious post-graduate fellowships at such institutions as Johns Hopkins and Ochsner Health Systems in New Orleans, as well as careers at such important organizations as the American Hospital Association. Dr. Crosby is a reputable scholar who has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals and amassed a total of approximately $169,000 in grant funding. He gave more than a dozen invited presentations and made an additional two dozen peer-reviewed presentations at professional conferences. Dr. Crosby’s impressive record of service included working as a Clinical Pharmacist at Chandler Hospital in Savannah since 1991. For more than two decades, he was also a Faculty Associate with The American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow with the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education. He served on the editorial boards of The Southern Journal of Health System Pharmacists, the Journal of Health Administration Education, and the Association of University Programs in Health Administration. He was also a member of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics, the Georgia Society of Hospital Pharmacists, and the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists. For these and many other accomplishments, Dr. Crosby received numerous formal acknowledgements including the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants Teacher of the Year Award in 2012. In recognition of his contributions to Georgia Southern and to his academic and professional communities, Dr. Crosby is deserving of the title Professor Emeritus of Health Administration.*
