Prof. McBrayer joined Georgia Southern University in 2015.
Research interests
- Development, implementation, and assessment of educational leadership and teacher preparation programs to ensure effectiveness and accountability through evidence-based practices.
- Evaluation of models and programs that prepare and train leaders and teachers.
- Student self-efficacy in an effort to prepare scholarly practitioners via graduate programs from the master’s through to the doctoral level.
- Distributed leadership with an emphasis on teacher leadership.
- Purposeful and sustainable professional learning with a focus on professional learning communities and innovative pedagogy.
- Advance academic outcomes through strong P-20 partnerships in an effort to achieve educational reform.
