Kevin Eastman is a Professor Emeritus of Finance at Georgia Southern University. He was awarded emeritus status on August 1, 2022. He earned his BS and MS degrees in Business Administration at Bucknell University and his MA and Ph.D. degrees in managerial science and applied economics at the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. Eastman’s primary teaching and research interests are in the areas of enterprise risk management, insurance, and corporate finance. His research focuses primarily on the performance and regulation of insurance markets, the use and effectiveness of auto no-fault reparation systems, professional ethics, and various pedagogical issues. He has published more than thirty scholarly articles in the Journal of Risk and Insurance, theNorth American Actuarial Journal, the Risk Management and Insurance Review, the Journal of Insurance Regulation, the Journal of Insurance Issues, the Journal of Business Ethics, and theJournal of Applied Business Research, among others. Eastman began his academic career at East Carolina University and also taught previously at Elon University, the Pennsylvania State University, and Florida State University, where he held the Robert L. Atkins Memorial Professorship in Risk Management and Insurance and also was the recipient of two university teaching awards. He is a past president of the Southern Risk and Insurance Association, and, in 2013, he received the M. Albert Burke Fellowship Award from the College of Business at Georgia Southern University.
