About

Using a translational approach to science communication, I explore how to improve health message strategies. My research focuses on how audience members’ experiences influence their reception and comprehension of health information. One facet of my research addresses media effects and how channels influence experiences with abstract information. However, I am particularly interested in how embodied experiences (e.g. symptoms) and metaphor shape audience members' perceptions.
