Personal profile

About

I am an actor, director, and educator entering my fifth year as Assistant Professor of Theatre at Georgia Southern University. I earned my Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from the Moscow Art Theatre School and gained membership in the Actor's Equity Association performing for the American Repertory Theatre during my time at the Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University.
After ten years as a professional actor in New York City, I took a position teaching Acting, Movement, and Voice at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. During that time, I served as the Artistic Director of the Bok Players as well as a co-founder the Hilton Head Island New Play Festival, which produced staged readings of nine new American plays in three years, four of which went on to receive world premieres. I also performed onstage at Trinity Repertory Company and on camera in a supporting role in the feature film Locked In. Since arriving at Georgia Southern, I've had the opportunity to direct five widely varied pieces for the university’s mainstage season, two summer productions, a world premiere at Theatre of Note in Los Angeles, and two productions for Lean Ensemble Theatre, a professional theatre on Hilton Head Island where I am also an Ensemble Member.
