About
Dr. Ardakani is a Professor of Economics and the Solomon Economic Research Fellow at the Parker College of Business at Georgia Southern University. His research focuses on econometrics, computational finance, and monetary economics. He employs Bayesian and data mining techniques to address economic and financial issues. He is currently studying methodological approaches and applications of information theory and extreme value theory. Dr. Ardakani is the co-editor of the Economics Journal and section editor of the Financial Statistical Journal and serves on the editorial boards of International Finance and Banking and the Journal of Information Economics. He is also the founding director of the Statistics and Econometrics Research Group and an Associate Member of the Statistical Consulting Unit in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. His teaching background encompasses undergraduate and graduate courses in analytics, econometrics, macroeconomics, and finance.
