Abstract

2-Bromophenyl salicylate is synthesized from 2-benzyloxybenzoic acid in two steps. The final compound has been characterized by IR, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR and HRMS. The melting point for 2-bromophenyl salicylate is provided.
