A Task for Examining Information Channeling Under Time Pressure

Research output: Contribution to book or proceedingChapter

Abstract

Stabell (1983) states that improving the effectiveness of the decision maker should be a principal objective for decision aid development. He suggests that effectiveness can be improved by appropriate channeling of information processing. Silver (1988, 1990) also discusses the advantages of system restrictiveness. The major reason behind designing restrictive decisions aids is to prescribe a preferred information-processing approach.
