Abstract

A single-feed, circular polarized (CP), cross bow-tie antenna with parasitic strips and microstrip ring is proposed. Simulated antenna achieves -10-dB impedance bandwidth of 84.4% (1.60 GHz - 3.92 GHz). A 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidth is 60.4% (2.02 GHz - 3.68 GHz). Overall size of the antenna is contained within a radius of.42λ with λ at 2.02GHz. The average realized gain of the antenna is 5.66 dBic in the common bandwidth between -10-dB impedance bandwidth and 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidth.
