Abstract

The purpose of this presentation is to provide an overview of childhood trauma, its impact on children, assessment and treatment issues, and implications for school psychologists. Attendees will learn about the effects of complex trauma, assessment of traumatic stress, individual and school-based interventions, and the role of school psychologists in helping schools meet the psychological and educational needs of traumatized children.
