Abstract
The project will analyze some of the significant tactics that China is currently undertaking to exert her strong presence in Asian geopolitics. The project will primarily focus on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, which has become a challenge for the Asian giants. The Chinese regime has recently commissioned a preliminary research study to build a controversial international rail link through a disputed territory that is controlled by Pakistan but claimed by India. This issue is extremely contentious from India's point of view because if the massive investment package ($46 billion deal) between China and Pakistan gets implemented over the next 15 years, it will not only pull Pakistan into a geostrategic orbit but will also be a game-changer for the region. This is not the first time that an emerging Asian superpower has asserted its growing authority over disputed territories; however, the building of this “Fast-track Friendship” could prove to be fatal for Asian stability in the near future.
