Chirped RZ-DPSK modulation format in 40Gb/s WDM transmission systems

Abstract

We have analyzed Chirped RZ-DPSK modulation format for 40Gb/s WDM transmission systems. We find that Chirped RZ-DPSK improves 40Gb/s WDM system performance by more than 2 dB as compared to regular RZ-DPSK modulation format.
