Computational and Experimental Studies of Point Absorber Wave Energy Converter

Abstract

Computational and experimental studies of different point absorber wave extraction converter. The studies are based on the linear wave theory and show that the result are in good agreement with the experimental studies. Five different design configurations are investigated. The preliminary results show that a cylinder shape point absorber has the best performance.
