Abstract

Suitable experiments are being developed for a new bioanalytical laboratory course. Senior level students were recruited to test-run selected labs from the literature to determine whether the procedures were comprehendible and reliable. The laboratory exercises included lab techniques such as titration, chromatography, and electrophoresis. Students performing the labs were interviewed post-lab to discuss reliability and provide opinion on the potential success for a sophomore/junior level student. Pros, cons, and potential modifications of the examined lab exercises will be discussed.
