Abstract
Based on studying impact-resistance performance of double layered cylindrical shell structures, the main dimensionless independent variables for transient response of a cylindrical shell structure under impact loadings were discussed here though dimensional analysis. The dependent function relationships between the maximum equivalent stress and strain of the shell structure were established with numerical simulation using the same material and keeping the similar compression ratio. The results provided a scientific guidance and a reliable reference for design and test of cylindrical shell protection structures.
