Abstract

When solving the local wellposedness of nonlinear Schrödinger equations (NLS), one needs the Strichartz estimate to control the nonlinear term. When we consider the NLS on torus, however, the exact periodic analogue of the continuous Strichartz estimate fails, which forces us to find some new inequalities of the same type. In this talk, some results for this type of restriction as well as some other related topics will be presented, including similar results for KdV equations on torus.
