Abstract

For teachers, ensemble directors and cello players of all levels, this session offers detailed explanations of systematic left hand positions, based on chromatic vs. diatonic orientation, 4-finger poisons, 3-finger positions and thumb position. Other topics include concepts of arm/finger preparation, anticipation, shifting technique and vibrato.
