Abstract
<p> Presented at POMS Annual Meeting</p><p> <a href="https://pomsmeetings.org/conf-2019/documents/POMS_FridaySessions.pdf" target="_self"> Abstracts </a></p><p> This paper presents a two-stage duopoly competition model that demonstrates how consumers' intrinsic costs (due to altruistic concerns) and brand preferences, competitor actions, and regulatory requirements can impact firms' incentives to exert R&D efforts to reduce the environmental cost of their production processes.</p>
