Abstract

The original publication of this article (Whyte and Compton 2020) contains an error in subsection "Preservation Bias" of the "Window-Well Experiments" section. The correct depth of the window well levels is 5 cm. The corrected passage is presented below: The window wells were excavated in 5 cm levels to determine if there was vertical variation in the numbers of anuran remains and in skeletal part representation. The lowest level of each window well is presumed to represent deposition beginning in 1952 when the house was built, 65 years prior to excavation. Due to compression via decomposition of organics, especially plant debris, the deepest 5 cm level of each window well represents a longer period of accumulation than subsequent levels.
