Abstract

We apply social network analyses to 5M email messages, matched survey response data, and archival process data obtained from a global consumer goods manufacturer to examine how communication structure influences the performance of inter-functional dyadic ties. Initial results indicate important moderators that constrain the efficacy of inter-functional communications.
