Abstract
Creating reliable links to electronic resources isn't easy, for library personnel and patrons alike! Databases have different requirements for access URLs, from identifying the correct base URL to ensuring that it will authenticate for remote users, and database linking features aren't always dependable. Georgia Southern is tackling this challenge by developing a dedicated "Linking to Library Resources" guide, which includes unique linking tutorials for each database platform we support. During this session, we will take a deep dive into this support tool and its many uses. In doing so, we will discuss pros, cons, and alternative approaches to providing proactive resource linking support.
