Abstract
A comprehensive examination for the shoulder girdle has been described and illustrated. By following these procedures in the order indicated, it should be possible to identify the involved anatomical structures, determine the nature and severity of the injury, and generate a comprehensive data base to use for further evaluation of the athlete's progress.
