Gaming in the Classroom: Using Games and Technology to Increase Student Engagement

Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentation

Abstract

Presented at Foundations: Retooling + Recontextualizing: 2018 Annual F.A.T.E. Conference

Students can look at only so many slides in an Art Appreciation or Art History class before eyelids fall and heads droop. Incorporating games and technology is a great way to peak interest and encourage engagement not only in course materials but also with peers. Many game templates are available to customize for free on the web or via paid subscription. This workshop will direct participants to fun technology resources and demo a favorite Art Appreciation review game. Get ready to play.
