Genocidal rhetoric and remembrance concentrated on the Israeli-palestinian conflict as contextualized in the United Nations

Abstract

The UN Resolution 60/7 affirms the significance of remembering the Israeli-Palestinian Holocaust as a memorial for the lives lost during the Nazi genocide of the World War II era and as a reminder of the need to protect the innocent from future atrocities. The resolution is aimed at genocidal studies and its role in the politics of the international community, within the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and its utilization in criminal accusations. The essential points of UN Resolution 260 include the contracting parties confirm that genocide is a crime under international law and that genocide means causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group. The UN Resolution 123 is associated with the Israeli occupation and annexation of Palestine and Arab lands since 1967. The present Secretary-General of IN Mr Kofi Annan, has emphasized on the commitment to the mission of applying the Holocaust's lessons to the contemporary world.
