Impulsivity: Relationship with Risky Behaviors

Abstract

A significant relationship was discovered between impulsivity (Barratt Impulsivity Scale) and the rate of engaging in specific levels of risky behaviors. Risky behaviors were divided into three main groups based on level of seriousness. Explanations focus on developmental characteristics. Applications are mentioned in the area of preventative programs.
