Iterative Fourier transform algorithm for the improvement of computer generated hologram reconstruction quality

Abstract

An effective method for designing binary computer-generated hologram (BCGH) by iterative Fourier transform algorithm (IFTA) is put forward. By use of IFTA, calculating arrangement and iterative phase of the correlated object, the object spectrum has limited bandwidth and smoothness. The experimental results show that iterative Fourier transform algorithm can obtain suitable phase parameter. The speckle on the computer-generated-hologram can be obviously eliminated. The signal noise ratio and the diffraction efficiency can be raised.
