Abstract

To the editor: Knapp and associates (1) recently reported 15 patients who were treated with cimetidine and lidocaine concomitantly, and the authors concluded that there was an interaction between cimetidine and lidocaine. We are concerned, however, that the results supporting the authors' conclusions may be open to serious question because of several flaws in the design of their study.
