Luminescent properties of BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+ phosphors modified with MgF2

Abstract

BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+ phosphors particles were prepared by the conventional solid-reaction method. MgF2 was coated uniformly on the surface of BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+ phosphor particles by the emulsion method. The structure, phosphor, average particle size and coated thickness of BaMgAl10O17:Eu 2+ phosphor coated without MgF2 were measured by XRD and TEM. The average particle size is about 7 mm and the coating thickness is about 50nm. The excitation spectra and emission spectra of the phosphor coated with MgF2 were researched by fluorescent divide spectroscopy (FDS).
