Meeting at the Intersection: Developing Cultural Competence in Working with MSM

Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentation

Abstract

This workshop is designed for HIV prevention service providers who work with MSM populations. The session will guide participants through an exploration of the personal, cultural, and societal forces that may serve as barriers to working with MSM. Participants will also have an opportunity to discuss strategies for overcoming those barriers. Using an intersectional lens as well as MSM focus group data, participants will be able to explore ways in which they can increase their cultural competence in working with MSM populations.
