Abstract

Roundtable presentation at the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision


Providing opportunities for integration of learning is a goal for counselor educators. !rough group work and mindfulness training, emerging counselors can gain self-awareness, an understanding of group dynamics, self-care techniques, and the importance of group therapeutic factors. Participants will be given a description of the group curriculum, engage in mindfulness activities specific to the curriculum, and share their ideas regarding the potential benefits and challenges of utilizing a mindfulness based small group to meet CACREP requirements
