Abstract

<p> This presentation was given at the International Association for Counselling (IAC).</p><p> <a href="https://www.ccpa-accp.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/CCPA-IAC-2019-Conference-Program-April-12.pdf" target="_blank"> Program </a></p><p> Trauma exists on a continuum and affects individuals differently at different stages of life. This presentation will taken in-depth look at trauma across a life span and conceptual differences at different stages of ones life that may affect how one processes and relates to traumatic experiences. Presenters will then discuss mindfulness as it relates to trauma and how mindfulness based interventions maybe adapted to address trauma at different stages of ones life. This is an interactive presentation and will reviewing demonstrate a variety of interventions.</p>
