Multifractal Structure of Noncompactly Supported Measures

Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentation

Abstract

Many important definitions in the theory of multifractal measures, such as the L q -spectrum and various dimensions, cannot be applied to noncompactly supported measures. We propose definitions that not only extend the original definitions on compactly supported measures, but also allow us to recover many important results that hold for compactly supported measures.
