Abstract

The new generation of flat panel displays and lightings, such as field emission display (FED) and light-emitting diode (LED) have been attracting considerable attentions both from scientists and engineers. With development of the advanced nanostructure materials including carbon nanotubes (CNTs), graphene, diamond, phosphor, metal and composites, the devices performance is improved greatly by using the materials. The excellent field emission properties of CNTs, good electrical conductivity of CNTs, graphene, Ag nanowire, high thermal conductivity of diamond and Ag nanowire, high efficiency nitride phosphors, nano metal oxide composites, and related applications in FED and white LED devices are reviewed.
