Abstract
The dissipative mechanism of the Schroedinger equation is mathematically described by the energy decay of the solution. We mainly address how an electromagnetic field affects the local and global in time existence for certain nonlinear Schroedinger equations. In the focusing case we show that the construction of solitons contributes to the profile decomposition of the solution.
