Abstract

Sodium metal reduction of RECl₂ (E = Ga, In; R = -C ₆H₃-2,6-(2,4,6-i-Pr₃C₆H ₂)₂) with Cp₂HfCl₂ gives Cp ₂Hf(ER)₂ compounds, which represent the first Hf-E bonds.
