Abstract
The partial fluorination of hydroxyl end-capped oilgoesters as revealed by matrix-assisted laser desorption time of flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry was reported. The technique accurately provides information such as absolute molecular weights and structures of polymers. The information is needed to analyze the segregation mechanism of low surface energy species and in the formation of polymeric films based on partially fluorinated oligoesters.
