Abstract

We conducted a meta-analysis to assess the relationship between applicant deep-level characteristics (i.e., applicant ability and personality) with recruiting outcomes. Results indicated that several recruitment relevant applicant individual differences are related to applicant attraction, independent of organizational influences. Stronger effect sizes were found for field studies (versus lab studies).
