Abstract

First Friday, features two exhibitions that focus on Ecology:

PLANTBOT GENETICS/MONSANTRA, by Auburn, Alabama based art team WENDY DESCHENE and JEFF SCHMUKI , with a focus on the ethics of large-scale agricultural production and distribution of genetically modified foods. They will also have their ArtLab trailer on-site.

In the Nan Boynton Gallery is Michigan artist, MARGI WEIR , with large scale drawings symbolic of our culture’s reliance on unsustainable practices in energy and food production.

Music under the tent by Hal Shows. In the Annex, there will be an installation/performance by Jeff Beekman with dancers from FSU dance department in the 621Annex. Also, Poems on Demand by Jay Snodgrass. Coffee by Journeyman Coffee. Exhibits MAR 7-31
