Abstract

A posthumanist education goes beyond a humanist (or modernist) education by thinking through the complex relations between humans, nonhuman animals, and machines. This chapter focuses on our complex relations with animals and animal interiority, briefl y defi ning posthumanism and then pointing out problems with a humanist (or modernist) education. We shall argue that a posthuman education must go beyond the humanist project and examine our relations with animals and our understanding of animal interiority.
