Abstract

The article presents the authors' opinion on the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs' (CACREP) standards. It states that those in higher education are concerned about the program accreditation standard as following it has wreaked havoc on their budgets. It discusses the results of a survey that the authors have conducted which concerns the impact of the 2009 CACREP Standards and how it is viewed by counselor program coordinators.
